The competition is open to two age groups with separate prizes: Secondary School age up to 19, Above Secondary School age to 24. It is not necessary to be a Student. This modelling challenge was conceived by The Covid 19 Localisation Modelling Group to help young people in the UK learn how to use models that can help with understanding the Covid 19 Pandemic better and how their actions can potentially alter the path to a better outcome.

The Judging panel are volunteers who have worked with the Covid 19 Localisation Modelling Group and/or have deep expertise in one or more areas that are critical to developing and implementing public policy and business solutions. And they all have a passion for education. They are invited from within and from outside our group who include: modelling experts, Disease Experts, Scientists, Business People, Analysts, Academics and Public Policy Experts and Students who have worked with our Modelling tools. The judging panel is preliminary... the full panel will be announced in our 16 November Webinar. Further details on the case study submission template and judging criteria will be posted here shortly.
